The Ridge is made for the strong athletic type with a softer side. Sitting comfortably just below the ankle, this durable sock flies under the radar while its full terry lined interior adds ample cushion. A specially designed heel tab and custom y-gore construction work together to prevent slipping and keeps this sock snug for the best possible performance and fit.

Sustainability
Quality Materials. Sustainable Process.
Choosy. Meticulous. Uncompromising. When it comes to our materials and manufacturing, these all apply. We start with the highest quality materials, like organic cotton that is dyed with low-impact dyes. Our certified organic cotton is grown on farms in the Southern U.S. by farmers we actually know. After harvest, our cotton travels to the Carolinas where it is spun and dyed before arriving at our mill in Alabama.
We knit socks in very small batches at our family owned and operated mill. Our team of ten (including Mom and Dad) run the manufacturing process from start to finish. And, because our entire operation is under one roof, we're able to constantly monitor quality through each step of the process, minimize waste and deliver a stellar product. We do it all because we know a better process makes a better sock.
We like to keep it all close to home. Our packaging, labels and marketing materials are printed within a small radius of our mill in Alabama and Georgia.
Giving and Recycling. Our irregular socks are donated to homelessness shelters and community organizations in Alabama.
We have some socks that are not fit for donations. These, along with any manufacturing waste, are repurposed or recycled. When recycled, these are transformed into fiber used for carpet padding in the automotive industry.
We can recycle your old socks too! For more info, please see ourzkano Recycles page.

Care instructions
(General Care Instructions & Our Advice on How to take care of your socks)
Your zkano’s should last a long time. Here’s a few things we suggest to help them reach their intended lifespan.
We highly recommend sticking to our washing instructions for our organic cotton and merino wool socks.
Machine wash cold water
Wash inside out for best results
Tumble dry on low heat
Do not bleach
Do not iron or dry clean
Additional suggestions for increasing the lifespan of your organic cotton and wool socks:
How to reduce pilling
Pilling with cotton is normal, especially in products made with a high combed cotton content, such as our socks. To reduce this, we recommend a few easy steps. This is good advice for our wool socks as well.
Wash separately. Do not wash your socks with towels or other rough items (for example, zippers) that will agitate the soft fibers in the wash cycle.
Turn inside out to wash and dry.
Placing your socks in a mesh laundry bag will also help with this.
Bleaching is a no.
Never (ever) bleach your socks, y’all- even if they are solid white. Using bleach on cotton or wool socks will cause the fibers to break down, resulting in holes in your socks.
Drying
To keep your socks feeling soft and to avoid unintended shrinkage over time, do not dry them in a hot dryer.
Using a low temperature setting in the dryer is best for your socks.
Do not over dry them. This will reduce their softness and zap them of their vibrant colors over time.
Though it’s not necessary, our favorite way is line drying, especially our no show and anklet styles. This helps prevent pilling too.
Don’t wear outside without shoes
Natural fibers, such as cotton and wool, will not hold up to being worn on rough outdoor surfaces.
Keep nails trimmed
This will keep those annoying holes from forming in the toe of the socks.

Ridges are my go to socks for all occasions - walking and workouts. They stay put, and are high quality cotton percentage. My only complaint is the toe area is not seam free. Zkano please consider a seam free toe, and an option for ridges to come in solid on top of foot or air holes like tempo.
I rarely write product reviews, but I am so glad I found these socks. So comfortable, such high quality and the fact that they are organic cotton and made in the USA is the cherry on top. I wear these as every day socks, as lounge socks, and in the gym. These are the only socks I will be buying from now on. *Chef's kiss*
These are great! Lots of cushion, a nice pad in the heel, and they last a very long time! These are my favorite socks. I like them so much that I give Zkano socks as gifts!
These comfy socks are the best! I wear sneakers almost daily and they don’t slide down. This is probably my third or fourth time ordering these socks, and they wear well for months and months, making the cost per wear for me such a bargain!
I got 4 pairs of these a few years ago. They are the first socks I wear when laundry is clean;; so soft and comfortable. Just got another pair to supplement.
These padded socks are great! Top quality as the others I’ve bought recently and in the past.
It’s nice to support a company located in the US and cares about their product.
These are really plush, comfortable, and well made socks! I have very wide feet and always buy XL socks even though I'm at the lower end. My biggest irritation with socks is when I have to keep pulling up the heel. Not a problem with these socks! Glad to have found a brand like Zkano to remind myself that socks can actually make my day better and not act as a simple, irritating necessity.
Cushion comfort beyond compare and quality workmanship. These socks are durable after many washings. Have purchased many for gifts and have pleased many friends and family with Zkano Socks.
I purchased a three pack of these and I wear them often. They are very well made. The fit is very cushioned and I really prefer the natural color as opposed to white. These are socks that will last a long time.
I have some Zkano socks purchased directly from Zkano and some purchased through Imogene + Willie. I actually discovered them through I+W and sought Zkano out to buy them directly. The socks are high quality and no-frills. They support where they should, don't rub where they shouldn't, and hold up in a wash-and-dry cycle (on cold and low, respectively). I expected to keep Zkano socks in my rotation going forward.
These are as great and comfortable a pair of socks as I've ever put on my feet. Thick, sturdy and yet like cashmere and velvet. I wish I could find the "zkano" of everything else I wear or consume. Great company, great products.
However this order of this type of sock just does not fit very well. Again, Zkano socks are great quality. We have purchased a lot of socks from Zkano. Thanks
